In order to understand this influence, the overall objective is to evaluate the design strategies of Colgate's advertising campaigns in the city of Nampula, with three specific objectives including the identification, analysis, and evaluation of these strategies, highlighting their impact on the purchasing decision process of the brand's toothpaste in the mentioned city. To achieve these objectives, exploratory data were collected from the Customer Development Manager of Colgate through an exploratory interview. Additionally, 435 consumers aged 18 and above, who were exposed to Colgate advertising in Nampula, were surveyed. The obtained data were processed using the seven-stage model proposed by (Blackwell, Miniard, & Engel, 2005). Data analysis revealed that all respondents had encountered Colgate toothpaste advertising and demonstrated knowledge about product variants, colors, and related information. It was found that advertising campaigns significantly influence their purchasing decisions regarding Colgate toothpaste. The preference for purchase is primarily focused on supermarkets, stalls, and grocery stores. Purchase motivations include the presence of natural ingredients, affordable price, proven effectiveness through oral health education, perceived benefits, brand trust, and these consumers recommend the use of Colgate toothpaste to friends and family.
2024-02-15T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Osvaldo Afonso Gabriel Francisco; João Miguel; Noémia de Jesus Banzehttps://www.eacademica.org/eacademica/article/view/541Public servant satisfaction and efficiency in public administration: A study in the municipality of Nilópolis, located in the state of Rio de Janeiro (RJ)2024-04-21T01:42:22+00:00Leonardo Silva Leal lealsleo@gmail.comRômulo Romualdo Costa de Mélo admromulo.uff@gmail.comPolyana Teixeira Castro Méloadmpolyana.uff@gmail.com
Efficiency is one of the constitutional principles that guide the actions of Public Administration. Thus, the best performance from public servants in the exercise of state duties is always expected, as well as achieving quality, dynamism, and cost-effectiveness in public service provision. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between public servant satisfaction and efficiency in the Public Administration of the municipality of Nilópolis (RJ), considering the influence of management and leadership. This descriptive research adopted a mixed-method approach based on scientific publications and the results obtained through the application of a questionnaire comprising 16 questions for permanent employees stationed in a municipal department, aiming to identify if there is a relationship between job satisfaction and the adherence to the principle in question. The results highlight that the satisfaction of the servants significantly impacts administrative efficiency, with working conditions and interpersonal relationships contributing to the effectiveness of the services provided. However, considerable dissatisfaction was also identified concerning remuneration, professional growth opportunities, and recognition at work. Due to the sample limitation, caution is recommended in generalizing the results, and further investigations are suggested to explore more deeply other dimensions of satisfaction and dissatisfaction and their interaction with the efficiency of public services.
2024-04-27T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Leonardo Silva Leal ; Rômulo Romualdo Costa de Mélo ; Polyana Teixeira Castro Mélohttps://www.eacademica.org/eacademica/article/view/531Corporatism as a Model of Government Management in Inclusion, Equality, and Gender Equity2024-01-18T09:20:15+00:00Alódia de Lurdes Nhacaalodiadelurdes@gmail.comBenjamim Lucas Ernestobenjamimlucasernesto@gmail.comHorácio Felisberto Calichehfcaliche@gmail.com
The article "Corporatism as a Model of Governmental Management in Gender Inclusion, Equality, and Equity" proposes a critical analysis of corporatism as a public management paradigm to promote inclusion, equality, and gender equity in society. Its aggressiveness is evident in patients with immunological compromise, such as those with HIV/AIDS, transplants or those undergoing specific therapies. The objective of this work is to analyze what the most recent literature presents on this topic, considering its relevance today. In this way, we intend to bring to light topics that can improve the life expectancy of these patients." A systematic and quantitative review of the literature was conducted, using platforms such as PubMed, SciELO and Google Scholar until 2023. Exclusion criteria were applied to select retrospective or prospective non-randomized studies for inclusion in the meta-analysis. When the JC virus is reanimated in immunosuppressed hosts, it plays a very important role in the development of PML. Its spectrum of manifestations ranges from demyelination to focal neurological deficits, detectable through examinations imaging techniques such as CT and MRI. Despite efforts, an effective treatment for PML has not yet been identified. Current strategies aim to strengthen the adaptive immune response, such as immediate initiation of antiretroviral therapy in patients with HIV. Research is exploring therapies involving HIV vaccines. dendritic cells and other approaches, but more research is needed. PML remains deadly in most cases. Early detection and a multidisciplinary approach are key to management. Healthcare professionals must be vigilant regarding neurological symptoms in immunosuppressed patients, while awareness and regular monitoring are crucial for patients.
2024-01-04T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 João Victor Carvalho da Paz; Solano Kaluangila Andrelino Santiago; Thamires Mendes Gomes; Johana Mirela Shikama Silveira ; Letícia Chaves Véras do Rosário; João Gabriel Gomes Araújo; Gabriel Mesquita Almeida de Sousa; Carla Castro Rodrigues ; Lucas Frota Beckman ; Alexandre Augusto Gomes Alves; Janice Alves da Cruz; Camila Melo de Freitas; Brenda Santana Araujo Giacomo; Ana Paula Diniz Alves; Maria Clara Rego Lima de Medeiros Ribeiro; Rafaella Keila Moreira Paixão; Sayure Oliveira dos Reis; Luanna Oliveira Alves; Berthone Colins Martins ; Karina Marques Milhomem de Sousa; Mariah Aparecida Pessoa Luz; Geyza Cristine Oliveira Mendes; Denise Ribeiro Guimaraes Borges Salgado; Lucas Freire Fialhohttps://www.eacademica.org/eacademica/article/view/535Efficacy of aromatherapy, music therapy and hypnosis techniques in controlling fear, pain and anxiety in the dental office2024-02-20T09:36:23+00:00Daniela Santos Senadaniiseena02@gmail.comLetícia Vargas da Silvaletsvargas1@gmail.comGleyciane de Oliveira Costagisellehorcimski@gmail.comCaleb Shitsukacashitsuka@gmail.comThais Cordeschithaiscordeschi@gmail.com
Anxiety can generate a stressful and unpleasant experience for both patient and dentist, with the combination of anxiety, fear and pain, patients can have exacerbated expectations ideas of pain. There are several ways to try to control fear, anxiety and pain, such as integrative medicine, which fall under the category of mind-body therapy. Therefore, the objective of this literature review was to evaluate, through recent studies, the effectiveness of aromatherapy, music therapy and hypnosis techniques as a method of behavioral approach in the dental office, to help control pain, fears and anxieties, and bring the possibility of using the techniques. All articles found in the search carried out on PubMed were analyzed, and 32 articles were included in addition to 10 works selected on Google Scholar, totaling 42 articles in this literature review. Aromatherapy has shown that inhaling aromas has an anxiolytic effect and improves mood, and is one of the most used non-pharmacological approaches. Hypnotherapy works with the aim of taking the patient to an altered state of consciousness, becoming more relaxed and more receptive to treatment. The use of music has been very beneficial, as listening to music activates the autonomic nervous system, releasing epinephrine and norepinephrine from the adrenal medulla. Distraction techniques consist of diverting the patient's attention from what may be perceived as an unpleasant procedure. All the techniques presented, in the majority of studies found, resulted in pain relief and a reduction in the level of anxiety and relaxation, proving to be effective.
2024-03-01T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Daniela Santos Sena; Letícia Vargas da Silva; Gleyciane de Oliveira Costa; Caleb Shitsuka; Thais Cordeschihttps://www.eacademica.org/eacademica/article/view/542Erosive tooth wear: What should I know?2024-04-22T20:56:04+00:00Elias Junior Barbosa Chacrinhaoiejrc@gmail.comMichele Cristina Silva do Valeneuromvale@gmail.comIrineu Gregnanin Pedronigpedron@alumni.usp.brThais Cordeschithaiscordeschi@gmail.comCaleb Shitsukacashitsuka@gmail.com
Considered a current oral health problem, erosive tooth wear (EWT) occurs through chemical-physical processes related to tooth erosion, abrasion and attrition, which cause the loss of tooth structure. Since it is multifactorial, there may be interaction between psychological, biological, dietary, behavioral and environmental factors. The prevalence of this problem has increased and in its more advanced stages it can cause pain, hypersensitivity and impairment of function and aesthetics. Through a literature review, this study aims to present some current concepts about this problem, addressing its etiology, diagnosis, prevention and treatments. The dental surgeon must be aware of this problem and carry out an early diagnosis and adequate treatment, mainly dietary guidelines and oral hygiene in addition to fluoride therapies.
2024-04-27T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Elias Junior Barbosa Chacrinha; Michele Cristina Silva do Vale; Irineu Gregnanin Pedron; Thais Cordeschi; Caleb Shitsukahttps://www.eacademica.org/eacademica/article/view/528The fundamental role of technologists and Radiology technicians in Forensic investigations 2023-12-22T12:19:27+00:00Clayton Sidney de Almeida Vergaraclaytonvergara@hotmail.com
Forensic Radiology is an area of forensic medicine that uses imaging techniques to investigate crimes, helps identify injuries, analyze remains and even reconstruct events, it is a crucial combination between medicine and criminal investigation. The motivating question for the study was: “What is the justification for the lack of radiology technicians and technologists working in the forensic imaging sectors?” From this, the objective of this article arises, which is to try to study the reason for the lack of radiology technicians and technologists in the forensic imaging sectors. To achieve the objective of this work, an exploratory, qualitative study of narrative literature review was carried out. Professionals in radiological techniques in forensic investigation are responsible for using conventional X-ray, computed tomography and magnetic resonance equipment to assist in analyzing evidence and identifying injuries. They play a key role in obtaining valuable information for solving crimes. It is a very interesting area that requires technical skills and specialized knowledge where unfortunately there is a lack of these professionals in forensic institutions.
2024-01-02T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Clayton Sidney de Almeida Vergara
