Abstract

The article "Corporatism as a Model of Governmental Management in Gender Inclusion, Equality, and Equity" proposes a critical analysis of corporatism as a public management paradigm to promote inclusion, equality, and gender equity in society. The research, conducted within the Master's in Communication for Development and Project Management of development project program at the Catholic University of Mozambique, addresses the concept of cooperativism, its historical origins, and the guiding principles. The introduction emphasizes the social and academic relevance of the topics, underscoring the importance of understanding cooperativism as a governmental tool to address challenges such as discrimination, inequality, and gender-based violence. The text explains the theoretical basis of cooperation, tracing back to human history, and exploring the idea that unity enhances productivity. The section on cooperativism highlights its role in promoting economic and social development, emphasizing fundamental principles such as voluntary membership, democratic management, and economic participation of members. The connection of cooperativism to ideas of social justice and balance is discussed, highlighting its origin in the cooperative movement and its contributions to work organization. The article seeks to understand how governmental cooperatives in Mozambique can contribute to community development, mentioning specific laws and government programs. Social inclusion is presented as a concept that aims to integrate those who have been socially excluded, while gender equality and equity are discussed as essential requirements for a fair and balanced society. In the final considerations, the role of cooperativism in promoting equal opportunities and overcoming gender inequalities is highlighted. The article concludes by drawing attention to the need to promote inclusive and egalitarian attitudes to build a more equitable society.
